Finally a pic of the house...

Things are moving fast

Our closing date has been moved up 2 weeks. The magic date is now the 15th of June! Jerry and I are pretty excited. The outside is all sided and the inside just needs to get "pretty" and then everything should be done. Jerry and I actually agreed on a living room set last weekend...hopefully we don't have to spend all our pennies on it though! ;)

I am still being pretty laid back about the wedding plans. My thoughts are...if something cannot be done or if we don't have time to do it, that is ok. I really just want to spend some time with family during our special day and I will be happy if that is all I get. I overheard that Joe is going to try to come home for a week and I almost jumped with joy. I miss ALL my boys so much! It feels like forever since I seen them and I guess it has been since Thanksgiving.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Mom and I are off to shop for the wedding dress on Saturday! I found one I really like, but I just feel like it is too much money...so the search continues. I will keep you posted. Talk to you later ~Ann*

August 25th

August 25th is the date that Jerry and I have picked to exchange vows with each other! We have a couple more details to work out, but at least the date is set and the photographer is booked!

The house is coming along quickly! We just went up there last night and it is starting to look like a house. Half of the roof is shingled, we have windows and doors! Darcie (Jerry's sister), Cole and Kylee (Jerry's nephew and niece) met us at the house also. Cole will be 5 in July and he talked non-stop to Uncle Jerry about how the pond next to us should be filled with water and have fish in it and where the swing set should be in the back yard and what kind of flooring should be in the house. The little guy was more excited about Uncle Jerry and Ann's house then Uncle Jerry and Ann! He was so funny! I wish my brother and nephews were closer so I could share all this excitement with them! But hopefully soon I get to see them.

Breaking ground...finally!

On Wednesday they are breaking ground for our house. Jerry and I are pretty excited! We picked out our appliances and all the exterior colors and stone. So we are well on our way to completing our part of it. On Friday we are going to sign some papers with Ryan (the builder) and then pick out flooring, countertops and lighting with Cyndi (our realtor). Exciting stuff! Then I hope we are done for the most part. With summer coming, we don't want to have to spend the nice days inside picking out everything...we also know that we would probably put everything off and then rush around at the last minute being stressed out.

No wedding date set, but I promise as soon as I know I will post it. We have made a few decisions and such, but we still have a lot to go. I think the main thing is photographer, dress and food. Details, Details. =) Hopefully soon I can figure out this whole posting a picture thing...but that is something that will come with time also. Have a great week and talk to you soon.

Jerry proposed...

I finally have pics of our lot, but I can't seem to add them to my blog (I will figure it out and hopefully add them in the next day or two)! I asked Jerry on Saturday if we could go up to the lot to take pictures for our house scrap book, he agreed and off we went. Just as I finished taking pictures, Jerry pulled out my ring. Yes, he proposed and he did it where we are going to start the rest of our lives! He is awesome! And of course I said yes! No date picked out yet, but I will let you know as soon as we do.

We just got our prints back from the architect for the house...they did a great job and included everything we had asked for. We are so excited. Talk to everyone soon. ~Ann*

Snow...

So today we are being dumped on...again! It is quite beautiful to look out from the living room window, but not so fun to shovel or drive in. Work sent me home early because they thought I was crazy to come in to work in the first place. So here I sit, balancing my checkbook and paying my bills. Not going to complain to have the afternoon off though. It is actually quite nice.

Jerry and I are currently looking at siding colors and stuff. So hopefully in the next week or so we have a house color in mind. I hope everyone drives safe in the wintery weather out there. Keep in touch and I'll write more later. ~Ann*

First time for everything...

Alot of great people that I know have blogs. You all have finally convinced me to create one and keep in touch. I hope to post pictures and such of my life on a regular basis.

As most of you know Jerry and I have been looking at houses to buy...well after what seemed like an eternity of looking (which was only about 1 month or so) we have decided to build. Our closing date will be sometime in June of this year. We picked out a beautiful lot in a brand new development and will be the first house built! We will be building in beautiful Isanti MN. It is a small but growing town. The best part of the whole thing is we have the most amazing realitor and builder. I am sure that I am biased, but both Cyndi (our realitor) and Ryan (our builder) have been very understanding and helpful through this whole process. More details and possible pics to come later.
